The Hibernian Catholic Benefit
Society's core business is providing benefit funds and assistance
to its members. The Hibernians achieve this through a wide
range of financial benefits and services for all ages.
Along
with these benefits and services the Society has a simple
philosophy - Catholics helping Catholics.

in New Zealand in 1869, the Hibernian Society has total assets
of $9.6m and it is the only national Catholic organisation
offering mortgage and loan facilities to its members. The
Hibernian Credit Union has total assets of $0.9m.
The
Society is registered as a friendly society under the Friendly
Societies and Credit Unions Act 1982, with membership open
to Catholics and non-Catholic spouses of Catholics. Membership
is currently 2,700 and there are 21 branches throughout
New Zealand.

ordinary office hours of the Society at its registered office
at 94 Dixon Street, Wellington are Monday to Thursday, 8.30am
